【New publication】 Low-temperature, safe, and cost-effective liquid sorbents for atmospheric water harvesting!
Atmospheric water harvesting (AWH) is an emerging technology that collects water directly from moisture in the air. This study demonstrates that deep eutectic solvents (DESs), a class of liquid materials, can effectively capture atmospheric moisture and release the absorbed water at temperatures below 60 °C. These findings highlight the potential of DESs as low-cost liquid sorbents for energy-efficient water production powered by solar thermal energy or low-grade waste heat.
