The 4th A3 Foresight Meeting Held at OIST in Okinawa (January 23–25, 2026; Third Joint Meeting)
The 4th A3 Foresight Meeting was held over three days, from January 23 to 25, 2026, at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Tchnology Graduate University (OIST) in Okinawa. This meeting was also the third joint meeting organized by the Ohtani and Takahashi Groups.
The meeting, the fourth gathering of the A3 Foresight Program, was hosted by the Takahashi Group and organized by Prof. Akiko Takahashi together with Prof. Keiko Kono of OIST. Researchers from Japan, China, and Korea came together and engaged in lively scientific discussions.
The program featured 22 oral presentations and 51 flash-talk and poster presentations. Once again, a large number of researchers from all three countries participated, making the meeting a great success. A guided tour of OIST was also held prior to the opening of the meeting.
In the poster session, Dr. Shohei Ogamino of the Research Institute for Microbial Diseases, The University of Osaka (Ishitani Laboratory), representing the Ohtani Group, was selected as one of five Poster Award recipients from among 51 presentations!
