Lecturer Hiroto Mitsuyama Receives the FY2026 Osaka Metropolitan University Young Researcher Award (Health and Life Sciences Category)

On September 3, 2026, Lecturer Hiroto Mitsuyama of the Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka Metropolitan University, received the FY2026 Osaka Metropolitan University Young Researcher Award in the Health and Life Sciences Category. The award was determined and announced following careful deliberation by the Selection Committee for the Osaka Metropolitan University Young Researcher Award (Chair: Akihisa Terakita).

The Osaka Metropolitan University Young Researcher Award recognizes young researchers at the University who have achieved outstanding research results, such as publishing excellent papers, and who are expected to be even more active in the future. Along with the commendation, a supplementary prize is presented. The program aims to encourage young researchers and to raise the University's research standards. The award succeeds the "Yoichiro Nambu Memorial Young Researcher Award" and the "Kyo Tsuneto Memorial Young Researcher Award" previously conducted at Osaka City University, and the "Shinkichi Horiba Memorial Young Researcher Award" was newly established in FY2025.
