Admission Policy
Our Admission Policy
We accept students only when the applicant satisfies all following conditions in each case.
(* Currently, our laboratory offers only a doctoral (PhD) program within the Graduate School of Medicine.)
Case A) Non-regular students (KENKYU-SEI)

- A-1) The applicant is requested to be a non-regular student by the funding program they rely on (such as MEXT scholarship program).
- A-2) The research project or plan of the applicant fits our ongoing research projects.
- A-3) The personality of the applicant seems not problematic to go through the course in Japan.
- A-4) The applicant seems to have sufficient knowledge to pass the regular entrance exam of the course he/she wants to participate in.
Case B) Regular Master Course students

- Our laboratory does not currently offer a master's degree program.
Case C) Regular Ph.D. students

- C-1) The applicant has clear funding support, especially the one without Japanese citizenship must have a scholarship to cover the whole period of his/her study.
- C-2) The research project or plan of the applicant fits our ongoing research projects.
- C-3) The personality of the applicant seems not problematic to go through the course in Japan.
- C-4) The applicant seems to have sufficient knowledge to pass the regular entrance exam of the course he/she wants to participate in. (This will be assessed based on preliminary materials and the interview.)
Case D) Exchange Students

- D-1) The applicant comes as a visiting student under a student exchange program between our University and his/her original institution (including department level agreement).
- D-2) The applicant must be under supervision of a supervisor of his/her original institution, who has the contact and discussion with lab member.
