InternationalAdvisoryBoard

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support. We are pleased to inform you that our laboratory’s representative, Ueda, has been appointed to the International Advisory Board of The Lancet Digital Health, one of the world’s most prestigious academic journals.

About The Lancet Digital Health

The Lancet is one of the most renowned general journals in the medical and healthcare fields. Among its family of publications, The Lancet Digital Health focuses on innovation and implementation in digital health and medical technology and has earned high acclaim worldwide. In an era of accelerating healthcare digital transformation (DX), The Lancet Digital Health serves as a cutting-edge platform for disseminating research findings and solutions to issues in fields such as medical data, artificial intelligence (AI), and telemedicine.

Background of the International Advisory Board Appointment

Our laboratory’s research, development, academic activities, and industry–government–academia collaborations in the areas of medical IT and digital health have been recognized. As a result, we were honored by the invitation for Ueda to join the International Advisory Board. We have also had several papers published in journals within The Lancet family.

At The Lancet Digital Health’s International Advisory Board, experts from around the world gather to discuss trends and strategies in digital health, and to deliberate on and advise the journal’s direction. Drawing on his own experience and insights, Ueda will offer a multifaceted perspective on the clinical application of emerging technologies and the social implementation of digital health, while also supporting international peer review and academic activities.

Future Outlook

1. Promoting Global Collaboration

As a member of the International Advisory Board, Ueda plans to expand our global network of experts, learn from diverse case studies, and contribute to the advancement of digital health both in Japan and worldwide.

2. Contributing to Research and Education

We aim to leverage not only our accumulated research findings but also the knowledge and global perspectives gained through the International Advisory Board to create new opportunities for research and education. We hope this will further aid in fostering the careers of students and early-career researchers both domestically and internationally.

3. Advancing Social Implementation

Digital transformation in healthcare affects not only patient treatment and outcomes but also the working styles of healthcare professionals and overall healthcare costs. To ensure that our research results are effectively returned to society, we will further strengthen our collaboration with government and industry, actively promoting initiatives to build better healthcare systems.

In Conclusion

Ueda’s appointment is a testament to the support and assistance we have received from so many people. We extend our deepest gratitude for all your help. Our laboratory will continue to draw on the knowledge and experience gained through our research endeavors and industry–government–academia partnerships, contributing to the vision of “the future of healthcare” pursued by The Lancet Digital Health.

We kindly ask for your continued guidance and support in the future.
