The RCUHS offers health and sports science courses (lectures and practical training) as a part of the core curriculum to provide students with knowledge about health and sports science and sports culture, as well as an understanding of the role of sports in achieving healthy and active lifestyles.
Health and Sports Science Courses
Introduction to Health and Sports Science
Students acquire scientific knowledge about human health and sports, adaptation of the body and physical fitness to training, and practice of sports according to their objectives and life stages, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the role of sports in achieving healthy lifestyle habits. Furthermore, students analyze various health-related issues from different perspectives to develop lifelong healthy and active sports lifestyles.
Health and Sports Science Practice
Students learn the fundamentals of how to enjoy sports safely through the practice of various sports, and they develop the ability to identify health- and sport-related issues and solve them rationally and systematically in cooperation with others. Additionally, students learn various ways to enjoy sports, such as playing, watching, and supporting sports, and develop lifelong healthy and active sports lifestyles.
