"Quandles from the viewpoint of symmetric spaces", 部分多様体幾何とリー群作用 2023 (東京理科大学), 2023/11/21

Abstract

The notion of quandles is originated in knot theory, but also can be regarded as (a generalization of) discrete symmetric spaces. In this talk we introduce basic notions and examples of quandles, and show that ideas in the theory of symmetric spaces are useful to study quandles. We also mention some of ongoing studies.
