BiographyHai Lin received the B.E. degree from Shanghai JiaoTong University, China, in 1993, the M.E. degree from University of the Ryukyus, Japan, in 2000, and the Dr. Eng. degree from Osaka Prefecture University, Japan, in 2005. In 2000, he joined the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka Prefecture University (renamed Osaka Metropolitan University in 2022), where he is currently a Professor.

  His research interests include signal processing for communications, wireless communications, and statistical signal processing. He served several times as a Technical Program Co-Chair for the Signal Processing for Communications Symposium and the Wireless Communications Symposium of the IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) and IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM). He was the Chair of the Signal Processing and Communications Electronics Technical Committee, IEEE Communications Society, from 2015 to 2016. Currently, he is the Chair of the IEEE Communications Society Kansai Chapter.

  He was an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Communications and the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology.

Birography: Yi-Han Chiang received the Ph.D. degree from the Graduate Institute of Communication Engineering, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2017. He was a Post-doctoral Researcher with the Information Systems Architecture Science Research Division, National Institute of Informatics, Tokyo, Japan, in 2018 and 2019.

He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering, Osaka Metropolitan University, Osaka, Japan. His research interests include federated learning over wireless networks, age of information, mobile edge computing, and energy efficiency of cellular systems.
