“Helibodies” (Helix + Antibody = Helibody)
Our research group has generated a molecular-targeting peptide with a stable helix-loop-helix structure called "Helibody" (molecular weight: 4K) as a new drug modality with antibody-like activity. We have succeeded in obtaining helibodies that bind extremely strongly to various disease-related proteins. Therefore, we screened our original helibody libraries against various virus surface proteins to obtain the helibodies that inhibit the infections.
