生成AIやAIエージェントの急速な進展により、都市や自治体におけるAI活用は、実証実験の段階から、行政業務、公共サービス、都市インフラ、住民とのコミュニケーションに組み込まれる段階へと移行しつつあります。

一方で、AIを都市に実装するためには、技術を導入するだけでなく、データ基盤、行政組織、調達制度、人材、財源、セキュリティ、説明責任、市民からの信頼など、さまざまな条件を整備する必要があります。

Osaka Asia Roundtable 2026では、大阪府、大阪市、大阪公立大学、アジア各国の政府・イノベーション機関、都市関係者、スタートアップ等が参加し、AIを活用した公共サービスや都市運営の具体的な事例を共有します。

さらに、AIの実証を継続的な公共サービスへと発展させるために必要な制度、データ、官民連携、スタートアップとの連携や公共調達、評価手法、国際協力のあり方について議論します。これらの議論を通じて、アジアの都市に共通するAI実装上の課題と、その解決に向けた方向性を明らかにすることを目指します。

About the Theme (English)

The rapid advancement of generative AI and AI agents is moving the use of AI by cities and local governments beyond the pilot stage. AI is increasingly being integrated into administrative operations, public services, urban infrastructure, and communication with residents.

At the same time, implementing AI at the city level requires more than the introduction of new technologies. A wide range of enabling conditions must also be established, including data infrastructure, administrative capacity, procurement systems, skilled personnel, sustainable funding, cybersecurity, accountability, and public trust.

Osaka Asia Roundtable 2026 will bring together representatives from Osaka Prefectural Government, City of Osaka, Osaka Metropolitan University, government agencies and innovation organisations from across Asia, urban practitioners, startups, and other stakeholders to share concrete examples of AI-enabled public services and urban management.

The Roundtable will also explore the institutional frameworks, data foundations, public-private partnerships, collaboration with startups and public procurement, evaluation methods, and forms of international cooperation needed to develop AI pilot projects into sustainable public services. Through these discussions, the event aims to identify common challenges facing Asian cities in implementing AI, as well as possible pathways towards addressing them.
