Message from the chair
Dear Esteemed Colleagues,
It is my honor to welcome all scientists — senior and young researchers, as well as students — to the OMU International Symposium on All-Solid-State Batteries, which will take place in a hybrid format on October 2nd and 3rd, 2025, at I-site Namba and the Nakamozu campus of Osaka Metropolitan University respectively.
This symposium aims to provide a platform for sharing intriguing and current topics related to all-solid-state batteries, with a focus on interdisciplinary approaches across the fields of engineering, physics, chemistry, and material sciences. Many participants are leading experts in these fields, with keynote speeches and presentations by outstanding researchers from Japan and around the world. Key themes will include the structural, ionic, and electronic properties of materials.
The OMU All-Solid-State Battery Research Center was certified in April 2023 by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) as Japan’s first joint research center dedicated to academic research in all-solid-state batteries. This symposium presents an excellent opportunity to share the initiatives and research outcomes from our joint research center, and we are thrilled to host this significant international event at OMU.
We hope participants will take advantage of this opportunity to exchange ideas on interdisciplinary advancements in all-solid-state battery research and to engage in in-depth discussions.
We look forward to meeting all of you at this upcoming symposium.
Best regards,
Akitoshi Hayashi
Symposium Committee Chair
