We are pleased to announce that Associate Professor Daisuke Kosumi (Kumamoto University), who was a member of the Department of Physics in the Faculty of Science at our university (Osaka City University) from 2008 to 2015, will give a lecture on the latest research results regarding the mechanism of solar energy utilization in natural photosynthesis. We highly encourage everyone to consider participating.
We understand that this is a busy time at the end of the fiscal year, but we would appreciate it if you could also invite your students and colleagues.
Thank you very much.
Organizer: Ritsuko Fujii (Extension: 3624), E-mail: ritsuko[at]omu.ac.jp (Please change [at] to @)
Starting with a self-introduction, he provided a thorough explanation of the importance of light-harvesting in photosynthesis, followed by an easy-to-understand presentation on the latest research results using ultrafast spectroscopy. Although there were about 10 participants, the talk was extremely fascinating, and active discussions took place.
