Joint Research Chairs and Joint Research Departments
Joint Research Chairs and Joint Research Departments at Osaka Metropolitan University aim to:
- Accept expenses and human resources from companies
- Establish and operate Joint Research Chairs or Joint Research Departments
The objectives are "the advancement and enhancement of education and research at our university" and "the promotion of the transfer of research results to society and industry."
Purpose of Joint Research Chairs and Joint Research Departments
Period of Establishment
In principle, two to five years. However, it can be renewed.
Procedures for Establishment
- Submit the Application Form for Joint Research Chairs, etc. to the Director of the Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis.
- After deliberation by the Executive Committee of the Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis, apply for its establishment to the Chairperson of the Board, and upon approval by the Executive Board, the Chairperson of the Board shall grant approval.
- Discuss the handling of intellectual property and other matters based on the Joint Research Chair Establishment Agreement, and conclude a contract between the Chairperson of the Board and the representative of the company.
