Students from Chiang Mai University and University of Phayao, Along with Osaka University’s Asst. Prof. Kuwamura, Visit Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis

On Monday, February 5, 2018, students from Chiang Mai University and the University of Phayao, along with Assistant Professor Kuwamura from Osaka University, visited the Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis (ReCAP) at our university. Under the FY2017 "Sakura Science Exchange Program" (Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science) administered by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), Osaka University has hosted 10 students from Chiang Mai University and the University of Phayao. On this occasion, the 11-member group, including the students, visited the center to attend a research presentation on ReCAP and tour the facilities.

Through close collaboration among industry, academia, and government, this program aims to facilitate short-term visits to Japan for outstanding young people from the Asian region, fostering deeper exchanges in the field of science and technology between the youth of Japan and Asia who will shape the future. Furthermore, it aims to enhance the interest of Asian youth in Japan's cutting-edge science and technology, thereby contributing to the cultivation of global talent required by Japanese universities, research institutions, and corporations.
