FY2024 Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis Student Activity Award

Yusuke Seki (Graduate Student, 3rd-year Doctoral Course, Graduate School of Engineering)

"I am deeply honored to receive the Student Activity Award. In accepting this award, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Professor Yamada, Dr. Nakazono, and Dr. Tabe for their continuous guidance and mentorship since my undergraduate years. Moving forward, I will continue to dedicate myself to my work as a researcher and engineer in the corporate sector, striving to contribute to society and make a meaningful impact."

Kazuma Suehiro (Graduate Student, 2nd-year Master's Course, Graduate School of Science)

"I am truly honored to receive the Student Activity Award. I believe this recognition is a direct result of the support from everyone who helped me throughout my three years of research activities, including my seniors, peers, and juniors in the laboratory. In particular, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my academic advisor, Professor Yutaka Amao, for his enthusiastic guidance, encouragement, and for providing me with numerous opportunities to present at academic conferences. Engaging in discussions with researchers from both Japan and overseas at these conferences was an invaluable experience that truly allowed me to grow as a researcher and a professional. As I transition into the workforce and begin a new chapter of my career in the new academic year, I will fully leverage the experiences gained through my research activities and strive to become a leader in society as quickly as possible. Thank you very much."

FY2024 Research Center for Artificial Photosynthesis Student Presentation Award

(Platinum Award)

Seiya Iwai (Undergraduate Student, 4th-year, Faculty of Engineering)

"I am highly honored to be selected for the Student Presentation Award. Thanks to the support of Professor Tamura, Dr. Kita, the staff, my fellow students, and my family, who have provided me with continuous guidance and encouragement, I was able to spend an incredibly meaningful year. I would like to express my gratitude once again. With this award as motivation, I will continue to work even harder after entering graduate school, aiming for further personal growth and significant research achievements. Lastly, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to everyone involved in organizing this activity report meeting."

(Gold Award)

Kyosuke Yamada (Graduate Student, 1st-year Master's Course, Graduate School of Science)

"Thank you very much for selecting me for the Student Presentation Award. This award was achieved entirely thanks to the assistance of Professor Amao, who guides me daily, as well as the professors at the Center, and the students in the laboratory. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone. My presentation focused on the achievements of a system that we advanced by coupling a new enzymatic reaction to the system we reported last year. Encouraged by this award, I will continue to approach my research with a strong sense of curiosity and strive to contribute to the further development of this system. Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude once again to everyone who provided me with the opportunity to present, as well as to those who support our work on a daily basis. Thank you very much."

(Silver Award)

Yuma Kawai (Undergraduate Student, 4th-year, Faculty of Engineering)

"Thank you very much for choosing me for the Student Presentation Award. With this recognition as motivation, I will dedicate myself even further to my research after moving on to graduate school."
