Features of Learning

The Graduate School of Nursing aims to foster human resources who provide healthcare support to promote advanced medical care and help realize a society of health and longevity in Osaka, and to conduct and disseminate innovative research in health, medical care, and welfare.
We cultivate individuals with the following capacities:(1) The capacity to protect people’s health and QOL; (2) The capacity to contribute to healthcare and medical welfare; (3) The capacity to conduct research based on scientific, creative, and interdisciplinary perspectives; and (4) The capacity to practice autonomous and creative nursing care based on highly specialized knowledge and skills.

Master's Program

The Master’s Program aims to develop individuals who deeply understand human existence and the dignity of life, and possess a broad perspective, deep academic knowledge, and high ethical standards as well as the practical competencies and excellent research capabilities required for an innovator and leader.

Doctoral Program

The Doctoral Program is aimed at developing individuals who possess rich academic knowledge and the ability to promote academic research and delve deeper into the field of nursing, conduct research activities independently with high ethical standards, and contribute to the creation of knowledge in nursing science.

 

Features of the Graduate School of Nursing

Master's Program

The Master’s Program seeks to foster researchers and advanced practitioners by offering the following courses: the Master’s Thesis Course, in which students learn the basics for becoming a researcher, and the Practical Nursing Research Course, in which students learn the highly specialized knowledge and skills required for an advanced practice nurse (certified nurse specialist), a nursing management practitioner, and a nursing educator. In the Master’s Thesis Course in the Master’s Program, the Midwife Course, which seeks to develop midwives who possess advanced practical skills and research ability, will be established in the 2023 academic year, and the Public Health Nurse Course will be established in the 2025 academic year.

Doctoral Program

The Doctoral program provides education to develop the ability to conduct nursing research independently with a scientific perspective, to invent nursing science on an interdisciplinary basis to achieve the practical application of their research results in society, and to communicate their research findings globally.
