1999 Established the Osaka Bay Area BNCT Consortium, a boron agent co-creation and research organization
2000-2004 "Development of nanodevices optimized for cancer neutron capture therapy" selected for Consortium R&D Projects for Regional Revitalization by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry
2005-2007 "Creation of 10B-boron nanocluster compounds optimized for cancer-boron neutron capture therapy" selected for Practical Application Research by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST); research hub established in the Innovation Plaza Osaka in Izum City (later closed down)
2008-2010 "Research on the advancement of cancer neutron capture therapy based on accelerator neutron sources" selected for Nuclear Fundamental Research Initiative (collaborative research with Kyoto University) by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)
2008-2020 "Boron agent for boron neutron capture therapy" selected for Development of Creative Technology Seeds by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST)
2012-2013 "Establishment of the world's first innovation hub through industry-academia-government collaboration for the demonstration and evaluation of boron agents for BNCT" selected for Innovation Center Establishment Assistance Program Subsidy for Advanced Technology Demonstration and Evaluation Facility Development by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry
2013 Osaka Prefecture University Nakamozu Campus and other locations receive additional designation as "Kansai Innovation International Strategic Comprehensive Special Zones"
2013-2014 "Development of synthesis equipment for 18FBPA, a PET probe essential for boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) and cancer diagnosis" selected for Problem-solving Business Model and Comprehensive Special Zone Coordination Fund by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
