Prof. Ines Neundorf from the Institute of Biochemistry at the University of Cologne, who is currently staying in Japan through our Graduate School of Science’s International Researcher Invitation Program, visited our laboratory and had a discussion with Prof. Yuba.

Prof. Yuba introduced his research on drug delivery systems based on functional polymers and their applications in immunoengineering. In turn, Prof. Neundorf presented her work on cell death-inducing materials and therapeutic systems for inflammatory diseases, using cell-penetrating peptides as a platform. This was followed by a lively and engaging discussion.

Additionally, Prof. Neundorf interacted with students in our laboratory and spent time in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
