| Abstract | Krattenthaler and Burrill-Courtiel-Fusy-Melczer-Mishna gave bijections between oscillating tableaux of length k consisting of partitions with at most n rows and ending at the one-row shape (m), and standard tableaux of size k whose shape has at most 2n rows and exactly m columns of odd length. In this talk, we give another proof of this equinumerous result by using the representation theory of the symplectic group. And we present generalizations and variants based on the Pieri rules for the classical groups. |

| Abstract | The Kronecker problem asks for an algorithmic understanding of the coefficients arising in the decomposition of the tensor product of two simple modules for the symmetric group. We provide an algorithm for calculating Kronecker coefficients labelled by so-called “co-Pieri triples” of partitions. This, in some sense, solves half of the Kronecker problem. This is joint work with Maud De Visscher and John Enyang. |
