Research That Takes Advantage of Osaka's Characteristics

Taking advantage of its location in a major city, the School of Agriculture will develop education and research related to “effective utilization of biological resources,” “contribution to health issues,” “restoration and sustainable development of the urban environment,” and “construction of a sustainable social infrastructure,” and link these studies to global research and development.

Interactive Education

We provide interactive education that encourages students' proactive participation, taking advantage of the characteristics of small-group education. We nurture human resources with the ability to think logically and to see and understand the essence of phenomena from a long-term perspective, with excellent communication skills, which are also important when aiming for international success.

Minors

Several minors are provided, including Minor in Food Safety Management through collaboration between the Department of Agricultural Biology and the School of Veterinary Science, Minor in Plant Factory Science, through collaboration between the Department of Agricultural Biology, the Department of Environmental Sciences and Technology, and the School of Engineering, and Minor in Drug Discovery Sciences and Technology, a university-wide program that is mainly undertaken by the Department of Applied Biological Chemistry.
