タイトル：Sleep: a universal feature of animal life?

Abstract: Sleep is a near-ubiquitous phenomenon across the animal kingdom, yet its origins and functions remain debated. This seminar explores evidence for the presence and diversity of sleep-like states in taxa from jellyfish to mammals. By examining the physiological, behavioural, and evolutionary aspects of sleep we can  uncover potentially shared mechanisms and undercover the adaptive value and evolutionary origins of sleep.
