The MICE Seminar will be held from August 25 to 27 (Tuesday to Thursday), offering insights into the operation of international conferences and related activities.

MICE (*1) is a collective term referring to international conferences, academic meetings, and similar events. These are expected to generate various benefits for the host city, including significant economic impact, the creation of business opportunities and innovation, and the enhancement of the city's brand and competitiveness.


The seminar will start with a tour of MICE facilities in Osaka, followed by a visit to The 32nd International Horticultural Congress in Kyoto the next day.

Through structured lectures and workshops led by experienced instructors from Japan Convention Services, Inc. (*2), participants will explore the business opportunities and regional impact generated by MICE.

This acronym-based term refers to business events organized by public, private, and academic sectors under themes related to business, politics, or academia.

is a company that provides comprehensive communication services in the MICE field. Their operations include planning, management, and secretariat support for international conferences and academic meetings, as well as simultaneous interpretation, staffing, administrative services, and facility management.

This seminar is part of the OSIP (Osaka Social Impact Project), which has been adopted under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's initiative to support social impact through university internationalization.
It will be jointly held by Kansai University as part of an extracurricular multicultural collaborative learning project.

*Document screening waived for current 3rd-year students for 2028 recruitment.
