Call for Participants
The MICE Seminar will be held from September 11 to 13, 2025 (Thursday to Saturday), offering insights into the operation of international conferences and related activities.

  • seek a rare behind-the-scenes experience at a major facility

MICE (*1) is a collective term referring to international conferences, academic meetings, and similar events. These are expected to generate various benefits for the host city, including significant economic impact, the creation of business opportunities and innovation, and the enhancement of the city's brand and competitiveness.

The seminar will kick off with a visit to the World Precision Casting Congress in Kobe, followed by tours of Kobe Airport and various MICE-related facilities in Osaka.

Through structured lectures and workshops led by experienced instructors from Japan Convention Services, Inc. (*2), participants will explore the business opportunities and regional impact generated by MICE.

This acronym-based term refers to business events organized by public, private, and academic sectors under themes related to business, politics, or academia.

is a company that provides comprehensive communication services in the MICE field. Their operations include planning, management, and secretariat support for international conferences and academic meetings, as well as simultaneous interpretation, staffing, administrative services, and facility management.

This seminar is part of the OSIP (Osaka Social Impact Project), which has been adopted under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's initiative to support social impact through university internationalization.
It will be joinly held by Kansai University as part of an extracurricular multicultural collaobrative learning project.

    2. Students from Kansai University

If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity, selection will be based on the motivation statements.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

 1. Participation in all seminars is mandatory.

 2. Completion of the participant questionnaire is required.

    3. Participants must travel to each venue on your own.

BENEFIT

 1. Certificate of completion awarded to all program participants  by Japan Convention   Services, Inc.

 2. Exemption from the first round of application screening for April 2027 recruitment (for             current third-year students only)
