Admissions
We welcome applications for the Fall 2026 admission in the following divisions: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Geosciences.
1. Important Application Schedule
Admissions exams are held twice a year. Below is the admissions schedule for the fall 2026 intake.
- Online Registration & Fee: May 22, 2026, 10:00 to May 27, 2026, 17:00 (JST)
- Document Deadline: May 27, 2026, 23:59 (JST)
- Oral Examination: July 4, 2026 (Online)
- Results Announcement: July 10, 2026, 10:00(JST)
2. Application Procedures
Step 1 is strictly required before you apply!
- Advance Consultation: You must consult with your desired faculty advisor by email and receive a letter of acceptance well before May 22, 2026.
- Registration & Payment: Register online and pay the examination fee of 30,000 yen (plus a 990 yen handling fee).
- Submit Documents: Email your application documents to the Admissions Office (gr-nyu-gss@omu.ac.jp).
3. Required Documents (Overview)
Please prepare the following documents:
- Application Form, Statement of Purpose, and Letter of Acceptance.
- Certificate of Graduation and Academic Transcripts.
- English Score Report (TOEIC, TOEFL iBT, or IELTS), unless exempt.
- GRE Score Report (for Mathematics and Physics majors only).
- Letters of Recommendation (must be emailed directly to the Admissions Office by the recommender).
