| Category / Academic Field | Osaka Metropolitan University plans to establish a new academic organization, the "College of Creative Studies (CCS)" (provisional name), in 2029. The objective of CCS is to foster students' problem-solving capabilities through collaboration with local communities and industry, within an international co-learning environment where all courses are, in principle, taught in English and international and Japanese students study alongside each other until graduation. To this end, we invite applications for a full-time faculty position to take charge of the preparations for the launch of CCS, as well as its educational activities and administrative management upon opening, in the field described below. ・Data science, statistics, psychometrics, quantitative sociology, behavioral economics, philosophy of science and studies of science and technology (STS), information ethics and data ethics, AI ethics, or related fields. *This includes empirical mathematical and statistical analysis (descriptive statistics, causal inference, survey/behavioral data analysis, etc.), research on ethical and social issues in the data society, and research and practice related to data literacy education. |
