Category / Academic Field	Osaka Metropolitan University plans to establish a new academic organization, the "College of Creative Studies (CCS)" (provisional name), in 2029. The objective of CCS is to foster students' problem-solving capabilities through collaboration with local communities and industry, within an international co-learning environment where all courses are, in principle, taught in English and international and Japanese students study alongside each other until graduation. To this end, we invite applications for a full-time faculty position to take charge of the preparations for the launch of CCS, as well as its educational activities and administrative management upon opening, in the field described below. ・Urban sociology, regional sociology, regional economics, social design, community design, public administration and local government studies, urban planning and disaster prevention, or fields related to PBL and fieldwork education aimed at solving regional issues. *Includes research on diagnosing urban and regional issues (integrated analysis of field surveys, interviews, and quantitative data); collaborative practices with local communities, local governments, and businesses; and research on solving regional issues using methods such as design thinking.
