On January 12, 2026, Vice President Masahide Takahashi, along with Professors Hiroto Matsuura and Masayuki Azuma from the Graduate School of Engineering, visited Dalat University in Vietnam for a signing ceremony to renew the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The agreement builds on the partnership that began in 2014 with the former Osaka Prefecture University. This collaboration has since grown, especially in the field of radiation safety management, and the renewed agreement aims to further strengthen cooperation between the two universities.

Attendees from Dalat University included Vice Rector Nguyễn Văn Ngọc, Visiting Professor Tamikazu Kume, Dr. Hoàng Việt Bách Khoa, Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Technology, and International Affairs, and Lecturer Nguyễn Thị Thùy Linh, who obtained her degree at Osaka Prefecture University. Prior to the ceremony, both sides discussed future academic and research cooperation, followed by a campus tour and symposium where Professors Matsuura and Azuma delivered lectures.

Building on this agreement, OMU will further enhance its collaboration with Dalat University in both education and research to contribute to the advancement of international academic exchange.
