Construction has begun on “OMU I-Dorm Sugimoto” (tentative), a new student residence on Sugimoto Campus. Designed as a multicultural living-learning community, the dormitory will house both domestic and international students.

Scheduled to open in April 2027, the residence aims to foster communal living that transcends academic disciplines, year levels, and nationalities. It will also provide students with a unique environment to engage with diverse cultures and perspectives.

Key features of this residence include on-site managers who will provide daily living support and ensure a safe and secure environment, nutritious meals supervised by registered dietitians, and essential appliances such as air conditioning, washing machines, and refrigerators.

Applications for residency are scheduled to open on June 1, 2026.
