The Consul-General of the Republic of Korea in Osaka paid a courtesy call on President Sakuragi
On June 2, 2026, Consul-General of the Republic of Korea in Osaka, Lee Youngchae, paid a courtesy call to President Hiroyuki Sakuragi on Morinomiya Campus.
From OMU, Vice President Masahide Takahashi, Professor Noriko Ijichi of the Graduate School of Literature and Human Sciences, and other faculty members with expertise in Korean studies and Korean language attended the meeting.
During the gathering, OMU representatives shared information with the delegation on the current situation of international students and ongoing academic exchange initiatives with partner universities in the Republic of Korea.
As neighboring countries, they reaffirmed the importance of being key partners in mutual development. The meeting also provided a valuable opportunity to highlight the potential for further expanding exchanges between OMU and the Republic of Korea’s institutions.
