University of Turin Delegation visits Morinomiya Campus
On June 8, 2026, a distinguished delegation from the University of Turin, led by Prof. David Lembo, the Vice Rector for International Relations, and Prof. Luisella Celi, the Vice Rector for Research, visited Morinomiya Campus. They were accompanied by Prof. Stefania Maria Beole’, the Rector’s Delegate for Natural and Life Sciences Strategic Research, Dr. Federico Maria Petrucci, the Rector’s Delegate for Humanities and Social Sciences Strategic Research, Dr. Mariasilvia Ciola, the Rector’s Advisor for International Projects, and Mr. Stefano Palmieri from the Press Office. Representing OMU, Vice President Masahide Takahashi, Advisor to the President Naoko Ohtani, and Prof. Masaya Matsuoka of the Graduate School of Engineering warmly welcomed the delegation.
The visit began with a welcome address delivered in Italian by Vice President Takahashi, followed by remarks from Vice Rector Lembo and an exchange of institutional overviews. During the following lunch meeting, Prof. Matsuoka reflected on the history of exchanges with the University of Turin and shared archival photographs illustrating the longstanding ties between the two universities. Discussions around common interests in research and education were also held.
This visit provided a highly productive opportunity to explore future avenues for collaboration, with both sides expressing strong expectations for the further development of joint initiatives.
