Ambassador-Designate of Botswana visits OMU
Osaka Metropolitan University (OMU) welcomed Professor Boga Thura Manatsha, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Botswana to Japan, to Morinomiya Campus on June 18, 2026, for discussions aimed at fostering future academic and cultural collaboration.
Ambassador Manatsha was accompanied by Mr. Bihela Sekere, Counsellor III, and Ms. Akiko Hakari, Social Secretary/Translator. The delegation was warmly welcomed by OMU Vice President Masahide Takahashi.
Vice President Takahashi opened the meeting and then invited the Ambassador to introduce his country. The participants exchanged views on strengthening ties between the Republic of Botswana and OMU and explored future academic and cultural partnerships.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity to deepen mutual understanding and laid the foundation for future collaborations.
