Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students visit OMU for Japan Program 2026

In July 2026, OMU welcomed 19 students from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) for the Japan Program 2026. This annual US-Japan exchange is designed to foster mutual understanding and broaden global perspectives through student-to-student interaction.

During their one-month stay, ERAU students attended a wide range of lectures at OMU, including Japanese language and culture, aerospace, and biology, to help broaden their academic knowledge. In addition, OMU offered ERAU students opportunities to experience various aspects of Japanese culture, such as Kyudo (Japanese archery) practice with the OMU Kyudo Club, calligraphy workshops organized by OMU Global Members and the Calligraphy Club, and field trips across Japan. Furthermore, volunteer OMU students serving as “buddies” supported ERAU students by managing events and joining various activities, which also provided OMU students with opportunities for cultural exchange.

Building on the success of this year’s program, OMU will continue to strengthen its partnership with ERAU through future international programs and student exchange initiatives to further promote interaction between students of both universities.
