Delegation from the German-Japanese Parliamentary Friendship Group visits OMU

On March 10, 2023, a delegation from the German-Japanese Parliamentary Friendship Group visited for a tour of Nakamozu Campus as well as to exchange information with executives of the university corporation and OMU researchers involved in joint projects with Germany. The visit was made possible by the cooperation agreement and joint research, that OMU has engaged in, with the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).

The delegation led by Mr. Michael Müller, a Member of the German Parliament, was welcomed in the conference room of the C21 building by University Chairperson Yoshiki Nishizawa, Executive Director Hiroshi Tsuji, Vice President Toshiyuki Matsui, and Associate Professor Andrew Vargo. After an overview of past OMU exchanges with Germany, the delegates and OMU representatives engaged in an active discussion, sharing details about case studies to promote industry-academia-government collaboration and efforts to utilize smart energy.
