Sakura Science researcher from VNU visits OMU

On Friday, March 10, 2023, Associate Professor To Thi Hien of the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) - University of Science, made a courtesy visit to the OMU. She completed her Ph.D. in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka Prefecture University in 2007.

This visit was a part of the Japan Science and Technology Agency Sakura Science program tour, and Professor To Thi Hien led nine students and one researcher from the Faculty of Environment at the university for a seven-day stay from March 5 to 11.

Professor To Thi Hien's research fields include air pollution, water pollution, and microplastic pollution, and she is one of the top scholars of air pollution research in Vietnam. VNUHCM has been engaged in international student exchange and joint research, mainly with the Graduate School of Sustainable System Sciences of OMU, since 2012 when Professor To Thi Hien was the Dean of the Faculty of Environment.

OMU expects greater friendship and further collaboration with the VNUHCM-University of Science in the future.
