Discussion

Numerous topics were discussed during the courtesy visit, including a report on the regular mentoring of a third-year Ph.D. student by Professor Randall, who is currently in a short-term fellowship program at the University, and topics related to human resource development in materials science. The topics of the university's advanced human resource development program "Graduate Course for System-inspired Leaders in Multidisciplinary Sciences - SiMS" and the high school and university linkage system with OMU College of Technology were also discussed. It was a meaningful discussion that will hopefully lead to a stronger relationship between OMU and the Materials Research Institute at Penn State in the future.
