The 7th Japanese Speech Contest for International Students from Two Universities held at OMU

On December 10, 2023, the 7th Japanese Speech Contest for International Students from Two Universities was held at the Media Center on the Sugimoto Campus, hosted by the council for Comprehensive Collaborative from OMU and Kansai University." A total of six international students, three from each of the two universities, gave speeches in Japanese, on the theme of "Experiences of Interaction with Other Cultures,” and were judged on content and delivery.

OMU was represented at the competition by master's student Ma RuiChen, and exchange students Xu Xin, and Zhu YuWei.

Mr. Ma received the Encouragement Award for his speech titled "Where is the wall?” and Ms. Xu received the Encouragement Award for her speech titled "Finding differences with your eyes and feeling beauty with your heart.” Ms. Zhu received the bronze award for her speech titled, "Let's shorten the distance between other cultures and our hearts.”

After the contest, a party was held to deepen exchanges between faculty members and students beyond the university level, culminating in a successful event.
