2024 Spring Entrance Ceremony

The Spring Entrance Ceremony for the 2024 academic year was held on Thursday, April 4th, 2024, at Osaka-Jo Hall. We welcomed a total of 4,409 new students to our university community: 2,931 undergraduates and 1,478 graduate students.

The ceremony commenced with a declaration of enrollment by President Masahiro Tatsumisago. This was followed by a pledge of acceptance delivered by student representatives Mizuki Taniguchi from the School of Law for the undergraduate students and Arisa Kitada from the Graduate School of Rehabilitation Science for the graduate students.

President Tatsumisago then delivered an address in which he encouraged the new students.

I hope that you will find out for yourselves what you should do in this limited time when you can enjoy your freedom, and what you can do only at OMU, where you have so many options to choose from,” President Tatsumisago urged.

The ceremony also featured inspiring speeches from Osaka Governor Hirofumi Yoshimura and Osaka Mayor Hideyuki Yokoyama.

The celebration concluded with a rousing performance by the OMU Symphony Orchestra and the cheerleading squad.

Congratulations once again to all the new students!
