The six members from Germany have interests in OMU’s engineering fields, especially alternative energy, sustainability, materials science, and optical engineering.

The German delegation consisted of Prof. Dr. Steffen Teichert, president of the University of Applied Sciences Jena; Prof. Dr. Jörg Wagner, president of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences; Prof. Dr. Gundolf Baier, president of Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences; Prof. Dr. Georg Pohnert, interim president of Friedrich Schiller University Jena, and the university’s head of the International Office, Dr. Claudia Hillinger; and Dr. Stefan Kreusch, managing director of lab equipment company scienova GmbH, which originated from Friedrich Schiller University Jena.

From OMU, Vice President for Global Education Toshiyuki Matsui and the Graduate School of Engineering’s Dean Satoru Watano, Vice Deans Masakazu Arima and Takashi Yamaguchi, and Prof. Jun-Seok Oh attended.
