Medical × AI project team reports research activities at the German Consulate General Osaka-Kobe

Nine students from the School of Medicine and School of Engineering’s Department of Information Science, who are participating in the Medical-AI Collaboration Project, visited the German Consulate General Osaka-Kobe on April 25, 2025. Graduate School of Informatics Professors Koichi Kise and Shoya Ishimaru, along with Specially Appointed Associate Professor Andrew Vargo, led the group.

During their meeting with Consul General Melanie Saxinger, the group presented their activities and achievements from their research at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in March.

The success of these recent events continues to strengthen OMU’s collaboration efforts with DFKI and other German institutions.
