Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University conducts Japan Program 2025 at OMU
From May to mid-June 2025, OMU welcomed 21 students from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) as part of the Japan Program 2025. Now in its sixth year, this initiative is designed to cultivate global perspectives and foster academic collaboration between the US university and OMU.
Throughout their stay, ERAU students attended lectures on aerospace, Japanese culture, and Aikido from ERAU and OMU faculty members. Outside the classroom, they engaged with OMU students from the Small Spacecraft Systems Research Center (SSSRC), practiced martial arts with the OMU Judo Club, explored Japanese calligraphy with OMU Global Members (OGM), and participated in the OMU Festival by operating a food booth.
A total of 48 OMU students volunteered as buddies to support the ERAU students and organize various exchange activities. The program provided a meaningful opportunity for students from both universities to deepen their understanding of different cultures.
Building on the success of this year’s program, OMU will continue to strengthen its partnership with ERAU through future international programs and student exchanges.
