OMU is ranked 401–500 in ARWU
Osaka Metropolitan University has moved up in the 2025 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), and is now placed in the 401–500 rank globally, compared to 501–600 in 2024. Within Japan, the university is ranked between 11th and 13th nationally.
This improvement is attributed to higher scores in the number of highly cited researchers and publications in Nature and Science.
As OMU grows, we remain committed to the advancement of research excellence and global engagement.
