Strengthening International Ties: OMU delegation visits INALCO and URCA in France
As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic partnerships, President Hiroyuki Sakuragi, accompanied by Vice President Masahide Takahashi and Associate Professor Yoko Harano from the Graduate School of Literature and Human Sciences, visited two partner institutions in France from September 2 to 3, 2025.
National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO)
On September 2, 2025, the delegation met with President Jean-François Huchet and Associate Professor Benjamin Giroux from the Department of Japanese Studies. During the meeting, President Sakuragi expressed his appreciation for the continued dispatch of outstanding students to OMU. They further exchanged views on the potential for strengthening collaboration in Japanese studies as well as in applied linguistics.

On September 3, 2025, the delegation had the opportunity to reunite with Vice President Vincent Vuiblet, whom they had previously met at OMU in December 2024. Joined by Vice President Christine Bouteiller and other international representatives, they engaged in a constructive discussion about expanding academic exchange.
