Osaka Metropolitan University has placed among the world’s top 500 in the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2025 for the following subjects:

・Physics（401-500）
・Chemistry（301-400）
・Atmospheric Science（301-400）

This ranking was announced by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, the publisher of the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). Universities are ranked across 57 academic subjects and the evaluation is based on indicators such as world-class research output, research impact, and international collaboration.
