Signing ceremony and commemorative symposium held at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology
On September 28, 2023, an OMU delegation* led by President Masahiro Tatsumisago and Vice President Makoto Tsubota, visited the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) to sign a new agreement and hold a commemorative symposium.
The event began with a welcome speech by VAST President Chau Van Minh, followed by a speech by OMU President Tatsumisago.

At the commemorative symposium, Professor Yamasaki and Professor Maeda, an OMU guest researcher, presented their research topics. They spoke about food safety, focusing on zoonotic pathogens, and biomass energy generated from waste as an effective measure to mitigate climate change, respectively.

After the signing ceremony and commemorative symposium, the participants toured VAST's Institute of Environment Technology and Institute of Chemistry where they exchanged opinions on a wide range of topics.
OMU looks forward to further collaboration and promotion of joint research activities with VAST.
