University of Mbujimayi Delegates visit OMU from the Democratic Republic of Congo
On October 30, 2023, Professor Disashi Tumba Ghislain, the Rector of the University of Mbujimayi in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), visited OMU. At the Sugimoto Campus, he paid a courtesy call to OMU President Masahiro Tatsumisago and Vice President Makoto Tsubota.

Rector Disashi was accompanied by Professor Yasutoshi Kido of the Graduate School of Medicine, Specially Appointed Assistant Professor Tshibangu Kabamba Evariste, and Ms. Ryoko Asari, a doctoral student in virology at the Graduate School of Medicine.

Discussions during the courtesy call covered a wide range of topics, including projects that OMU is currently conducting in the DRC as well as talks regarding the possibility of future academic collaborations between OMU and the University of Mbujimayi.
