【March 13】2026 NTU-OMU JOINT SYMPOSIUM "Innovations in Human and Planetary Health by Optical Manipulation"

Bioaerosols and microplastic-associated microbes are critical, yet elusive, factors in environmental health, disease transmission, and atmospheric chemistry. Despite their importance, they remain poorly characterized due to the limitations of current spatial and temporal resolution.

This symposium explores transformative solutions for human and planetary health by analyzing microorganisms attached to particulate matter and emerging pollutants. We highlight the intersection of state-of-the-art optoelectronic and biological technologies, including:

  • Light-induced Acceleration Systems (LAC-SYS)
  • Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS)
  • Advanced Drug Delivery Systems (DDS)
