Overview
The Department of Human Cognition and Behavior uses experiments, surveys, simulations, and other empirical research methods in order to elucidate human behavior and the workings of the mind at various levels: cognition to explain behavior, nerves to figure out how the mind works, and the brain to understand physiology. We helps graduate students acquire specialized knowledge in psychology and related sciences and cutting-edge research methods through collaborative research with faculty members.
Advanced research equipment
Students can engage in advanced research using a near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), an artificial climate chamber, an eye tracker, a three-dimensional position measurement system, and VR devices.
Curriculum for Certified Public Psychologist
Completion of certain classes will give students qualifications to take the examination for certified public psychologists. Students can receive guidance from faculty members who are certified public psychologists and clinical psychologists.
