Department of Environmental Sciences
Overview
The Department of Environmental Sciences conducts educational research to develop students’ ability to unravel the human-nature connection that is multilayered at the levels of communities, nations, and international society and the skill to work on the resolution of issues with the connection by utilizing not only technical knowledge but also social scientific knowledge, such as law and economics. The Master’s Program develops human resources who can use their specialized knowledge and skills to contribute to building a sustainable society with high ethical standards and a strong sense of mission.
