Prospective Students

Master's Degree Program

The Department of Environmental Sciences offers degrees in English.

Students who intend to earn a degree in English must find an academic supervisor and obtain permission to apply prior to proceeding with the application process. 

Those who are fluent in Japanese and intend to earn a degree in Japanese must also find an academic supervisor and obtain permission to apply before proceeding with the application process.

Step 1) Refer to the overview of the sustainable system sciences master’s program in the admission guidelines for international students to find a prospective academic supervisor. Please note the supervisor must be a professor or an associate professor. 

Step 2) Refer to the faculty member’s e-mail addresses in the admission guidelines for international students and contact your prospective academic supervisor with your CV and desired research topic.

Step 3) Once you have received permission from your academic supervisor to apply, please follow the application instructions outlined below. The documents required can be found in the guidelines provided.

If you have not obtained permission from your academic supervisor to apply as stated in steps 1 and 2 above, you will not be able to proceed with the application process even if you submit the application documents.

Doctoral Degree Program
