国費外国人留学生制度（日本政府（文部科学省）奨学金留学生）

日本政府（文部科学省）奨学金は、日本の文部科学省が支給する奨学金です。応募は入学前に、日本国大使館・総領事館（大使館推薦）、または日本の受入大学（大学推薦）を通じて行う必要があります。

大使館推薦

在外の日本国大使館・総領事館を通じて募集及び第1次選考を行います｡第1次選考後、文部科学省での選考､受入希望大学との協議を経て、最終合格者を決定します。
受入開始時期は4月あるいは10月です。留学希望者は学習開始を希望する年の前年3月頃には大使館・領事館に対して問い合わせを行う必要があります。

第1次選考を通過し、本学に「大学受入内諾書」を申請する場合は、以下の手順を遵守してください。

Step 1

まず本学Webサイト等で自分の研究したい分野があるかを確認し、指導教員となる教授を探してください。検索方法は次を参考にしてください。

• 各研究科のWebサイトから教員一覧を参照する
• OMU研究者データベースを参照する

 

Step 2

履歴書、研究計画書、文部科学省提出書類を添えて、直接教員に連絡するか、教育推進課 国際教育担当に連絡してください。

Step 3

教員から指導教員となる同意を得られた場合、「大学受入内諾書」を申請し、自国の日本大使館または領事館に提出してください。

大学推薦

大学間あるいは部局間の交流協定を締結している海外の大学や、共同研究による交流を行っている研究機関などから、留学生を受入れます｡本学から推薦できる人数は若干名に限られており、学内で選考のうえ文部科学省へ推薦します。応募を希望する場合は、必ず指導を希望する教員に相談してください。

本学に国費外国人留学生として入学する為には、上記の審査とは別に、本学の入学試験に合格する必要があります。研究科別の入試情報もあわせてご確認ください。

MEXT Scholarship Students

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan offers scholarships to international students who wish to enroll as research students in a graduate course at a Japanese university (either regular students or non-regular students) under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program. You can apply through the Japanese embassy with an “embassy recommendation” or through a host university in Japan with a “university recommendation” before to entering the university.

Embassy Recommendation

If you have passed the first selection of the Monbukagakusho Scholarship (for Research Students, Embassy Recommendation) and want to apply for a “letter of provisional acceptance” to OMU, please adhere to the following three steps.

Step 1

Check on our website to see if there is a field of study you would like to pursue, and find a professor you would like to become your supervisor. You can find professors through the following ways:

• consult a list of teaching staff via the HP of each Graduate School
• consult the OMU researchers database

Step 2

Contact the professor directly or contact the Global Education, Academic Affairs Division with your CV, research plan and MEXT documents.

Step 3

If a professor agrees to become your supervisor, please request a “letter of provisional acceptance (内諾)” and hand it into the Japanese Embassy/Consulate of your country.

University Recommendation

Students from universities with a bilateral agreement with OMU, either on a university level or a faculty level, and students from institutions which have been engaged in collaborative research with OMU, can apply to MEXT for the Japanese Government Scholarship with a “university recommendation”. The number of the students who we can recommend to MEXT is limited. We will hold the first screening in our university and recommend them to MEXT. If you are interested in applying for the MEXT scholarship, please inform in advance the professor who you desire as your supervisor.
